Welcome to Things Move Fast
A publication about innovation, culture, curiosity, and the people driving progress.
I’ve been a fan of media & technology for as long as I can remember. From collecting magazines as a child, hanging out at arcades to play the latest gaming tech, to being obsessed with anything I thought was revolutionary on the big and small screen (anyone remember Knightmare?). I’m a geek through and through.
Although I’ve never written for publications I actually studied to be a writer and back in 2009 I tried my best to get a job as a junior reporter (I had aspirations of writing for a film or gaming magazine at the time).
Alas, I never actually made it as a journo but I did end up in publishing on the ad sales and events business. Although it wasn’t my dream job, roll on 15 years and I’ve had a great career starting up brands, helping create magazines, launching events and awards. But most importantly, throughout my career the best part has been meeting so many interesting people doing amazing things.
We are in a world that is moving fast and my curiosity for where things will go is the reason for me starting this publication/ blog/ zine (whatever you want to call it). I’m looking forward to sharing some perspectives on things I find interesting across industries I’m actively curious about and share some great conversations on the way.
I’m hoping Things Move Fast can compliment Digital Frontier, the media company my brother Josh and I started. DF explores what matters most at the intersection of technology, business and society. Aren’t subscribed to DF? Are you mad? Check it out here digitalfrontier.com
Thanks for being here.
